Originate from Dendermonde, Karine was actively engaged with music since her youth. Through the music academy of Dendermonde she end up in the Academy of art in Brussels. She complete her studies at the Royal music conservatory. Meanwhile this busy bee did a lot of things. Around her 10th year Karine formed a folk music duo with a friend and shortly afterwards they worked together with a dance group. Collectively they toured around whole Europe. They even did a trip to America, that became a succes and resulted in a appearance in a TV-show. Afterwords Karine performed with a dance orchestra and became the singer of big band. In 1981 she represented our country at the festival "La Chance aux Chansons". Her performance at the Luxembourgian Montdorf provided her an appearance for the French broadcasting station TF1. At the Belgian TV (B.R.T.) she worked with the orchestra of Theo Mertens. The festival "Euronote" in Italy was her next magnificent experience. In the meantime Karine started with a trio of her own: "Twilight". It consisted of a piano player composer and arranger, Willy Adams, drummer Rudy Sterckx and she as singer. They work in Belgium and the surrounding countries. They bring covers, jazz- standards and personal numbers.
